I truly enjoy life, and I never want to stop enjoying life.

I want everything that I get involved with to be a part of my enjoyment of life, whether if it is fun, entertaining, interesting, for the good of others or to exalt God. And I want my year at SKEMA Business School to be a part of this.

Having Fun in the Sun with Naomi

I have been visiting Naomi Lister in the Sunshine Coast of Australia for a week, and I had the best time. She and her whole family were so friendly and so nice to me the whole time. And Naomi was the best tourist guide, host and friend :o)

She had made a welcome basket for me when I arrived. It had heaps of small (Australian) goodies in it, such as Milo, Vegemite, TimTams, Australian Breakfast Tea, Koala pasta, and my favourite sweets "Forbidden Fruits". This was a super nice way to be greeted.
I was staying with Naomi for a week, and she had lots of plans for us, and we had heaps of fun.

On one of the days we went to Montville to look in some shops. Montville is full of small, cute shops.

And of course I had to do a TimTam slam, I could not be in Australia and not do one of those. In this photo we are sitting out on the veranda having tea. I really enjoyed the weather, I did once have to wear a sweater , the weather was good the whole time, except that it did rain once or twice, but that didn't even make it cold.

I also got to see real life kangaroos. I felt like you haven't been in Australia if you haven't seen kangaroos. And I got to see them, and they were wild.

Naomi also took me to a sushi-rail. The sushi was good, but I wanted to go there because of the rail, it was fun having food ride past you, and I could chose what to have.

We went kayaking in Maroochy River. And the current was in the opposite direction of where we wanted to go, so it sure was hard work. The sun was shining, so we went for a swim afterwards.

We also climbed Mount Coolum, which by the way is only for the cool(um) people. Can you see me climbing, it sure was hard work, but we both made it to the top.

Eventhough they say that it is getting to autumn now, the weather has been super nice, so we went to the beach a few times. In Noosa Naomi and I even built a sandcastle, isn't it pretty?

And we got to talk to Hanné, both of us talking to her from the same place. It was fun, it has been a year since we saw each other in real life. Because of the big time difference between Australia and England we had to get up very early. So sorry, Hanné, if we weren't very talkitive.

These are the really nice people that I stayed with in the Sunshine Coast. They were so kind and friendly to me, and I really had a great time there.

On Monday Naomi had to go to work, so I went to Brisbane, and met up with Kristina, who lives there. We had lunch and later icecream together. In the photo we are in the Wheel, which was fun, but a bit scary too.

This is Tirzah, Naomi's niece, Joana's daughter. She is the cutest little thing. It was a pleasure meeting her. I had to get a photo taken with her.

And then it was time to leave. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A GREAT WEEK :o)

I'm in Sydney, Australia

Jeyj. I made the loooooong flight down here. And Sydney is great. It is so good to get to see my sister again. I flew in on Friday night, and was greeted by her and some friends later on.
I got over jetlag pretty soon, which was good. On Saturday I went along on Street Teams, then we went on a picnic and later we went to church. And Sunday we went vintage shopping in Surry Hills. Monday we did the Cougee to Bondi walk.
Sydney is such a fun and energetic city, and it has only shown me good weather, which I enjoy, even though it can be too hot sometimes.
Now I am going to see Naomi for a week in the Sunshine Coast. And then heading back to Sydney to spend some more days with my sister.
So far all is good :)

Here are some photos, that I have shot here:

Picnic in the park.

Shopping in Surry Hills with the Ladies.

Bondi Beach.

Flying Halla.

Playing in the Water.

My Sister and I on Bondi (I am so pale compared to her).

This was it for now. More on my travels to Australia later on.

I Love These Days Off!

It's Saturday, and it's the Saturday that I don't work. Hurray for that :o)
So I have been enjoying myself today: Slept in, got breakfast, gave myself good time to get ready and then headed downtown with my youngest sister. We just had a good time together. Did some shopping and had a laugh.
Here are some photos that we shot:

Sisters ;)

And of course, you got to do some jump-photos.

Funny, ha?
We sure had a lot of fun together ;)

SISTERS

My mum shot this photo back in 1998. It was taken in Denmark, as we were moving back to the Faroe Islands. I love this photo, it is really cute and adorable.
Its the three sister, there is Halla to the left, Krista in the middle, and then there is me to the right.
I love my sister, and I am so grateful that I have them, they are more than just sisters, they are my friends, and we have a lot of fun together.

MORE POSTCROSSING

I am very excited about postcrossing. I can't get enough of sending postcards at the moment ;o) Another one of my postcards arrived this weekend, so I got to send yet another one, and this one is also heading to USA. But I was out of Faroese scenary postcards so I went down to the Tourist Information Office in town and got a bunch more postcards, so now I am ready for another round. I hope some more postcards arrive soon, cause I can't get enough of sending postcards. I check the website like a zillion times a day to see if the postcards have arrived, but I have to be patient.
For now, here is the postcard that is making its way to Illinois:

Hurray! My Postcards to France and Netherlands arrived!

Yep, two of the five postcards I wrote the other day, when I joined Postcrossing arrived today. Isabelle from France and Inge from the Netherlands received their postcards from me today. This means that I can now send two more postcards.
So these to postcards are making their way to the United States:

I hope these arrive soon, and also the other postcards that I sent, hopefully they will be registered soon, so that I can send some more postcards. I love this website, what a great invention. I am very excited about receiving some postcards from different places in the world :o)

HAPPY POSTCROSSING!

Two Weeks till I'm Going Down-Under :o)

So, today it is two weeks and I am off. I am super excited. I'm going to be off work for 3 ½ weeks, just enjoying myself and seeing and experiencing a new country. They tell me that Australia is a great place, so I am looking forward to seeing it all.

First I'll be travelling to Denmark, which is 2 hours and then the next day I'll take off from Copenhagen and 26 hours and 5 minutes later I'll land in Sydney. After flying 1735 km.

This is the route I'll be flying:

I can't wait to see these again:

I am Learning Greek

ριστος δε ó θεος.

Do you that I am doing a course in Biblical or Koine Greek. I love the fact that I can now look at that first sentence, and make some sense of it.
It would be pronounced something like:
pistos de h'o theos. = (and) God is faithful.

But Koine Greek is hard work, there is so much vocalbulary to learn, and so much grammar to put my head around, but I am trying, and slowly getting there. It would be great to be able to read the New Testement when the course is done, but our teacher keeps reminding us that this is only the basics.
